I prefer to let art speak for itself, as it often communicates differently over time, across distances, and with various individuals and cultures.

 

As for me, I am sure that my own Chinese cultural background, the times and places in which I have lived my life, and the many travels and journeys I have taken with many wonderful companions have all influenced my approach to my art.

 

I enjoy the use and adaptation of rather traditional and conventional methods to create futuristic visions. These visions often involve people and familiar objects that have been somehow transported or transformed on an individual and cultural basis, while still retaining their basic identity, elements and relationships.

 

In this way, I try to let my art portray positive change, continuity and connectivity in a global context of sensual beauty.
